helllooooooooooo?

I'm calling out to fellow students in this class: EDIT 771. Please look at my work; what do you think?

I'm paying off a family debt and making a website for my dad's "old neighborhood" reunion committee. The group has always kept a paper newsletter, publishing about 2x /year. They're getting older, and interest is flagging, so I've offered to put the information online.

I'm back/forth over how to best offer the content. I like the idea of the Flash introduction, but switching to HTML inside. There's so much content: 6 issues, 8 pages, 20 images/issues.

I'm still having trouble in dreamweaver templates, but I think it's because I followed the tutorials too closely. I made too many areas in my template -- templatized. I'm going to go back in and "release" areas like H1 and main text. They'll be changing page to page.

So take a look, please. URLs in previous post. thanks.

Misery loves company, proven true again. Thank you for your comments responding to my DW post. It is good to hear that was difficult for others and even confounding for someone with dreamweaver experience. It was also comforting to learn that you have dreamweaver experience. It makes me feel more like my page one day too will have more of the class and tricks of your page.

Sorry, I didn't pop on here sooner to give you feedback on your pages. Your first page is really great! I love the interactive menu and the use of photos. I also like your blue border. I am guessing that it reduces or expands depending on the screen it is being viewed on. It makes it look more professional.

It seems like it will be pretty straight forward to navigate, even for an older crowd that may not be as familiar with the Internet. One way to make it easier might be to use thumbnails of those pages and others throughout...some people may have a harder time reading the small words...or they may prefer to click pictures...like me. :) However, it may not be a good idea, I am not web savvy enough to know.
I think you'll have no problem settling that family debt.

Nice job Tom on your intro page, it is very user-friendly and fun to explore. I hope you get your project completed the way you plan for it to look.
